The revenue generated by Community Living Espanola fundraising initiatives support every aspect of our work. Our capacity to generate funds from individuals, groups and corporations directly impacts our ability to support individuals who have a developmental disability to ensure their quality of life in the community is meaningfully improved today and in the future.

Annual Giving
Community Living Espanola relies on the partnership of individuals, corporations and organizations annually through this program in order to continue funding programs and services. Each contribution is equally important and is fully and appropriately recognized.

Bequests
Bequests enable Community Living Espanola to build a solid funding base that will support resident care and specialized programs in the long term. By including us in your Will, you are helping us build a strong and healthy future for our clients.
A “bequest” is a gift of cash or property made in a Will, and is one of the ways donors choose to make a gift to CLE. A bequest entitles your estate to a tax credit for the final income tax return, thereby giving your heirs protections by reducing estate tax liability.
Most bequests fall into two general categories, Unrestricted or Restricted.
Unrestricted Bequests allows CLE to use your gift where it is needed most. Restricted Bequests allow you to specify where and how your gift should be used. The most common types of bequests are either General, Residual or Contingent.
General Bequest: CLE would receive a specified amount of a gift, usually cash
Residual Bequest: CLE would receive all or a percentage of the remainder of your estate after other specified legacies have been fulfilled.
Contingent Bequest: CLE would receive all or a share of the estate only in the event of the prior death of other names beneficiaries.

Commemorative Giving
Gifts made In Memory create a legacy for loved ones who have passed away.
Gifts made In Honour are the perfect way to celebrate momentous occasions that happen in our loved ones’ lives, such as weddings, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, anniversaries, promotions and birthdays.
Donations can be designed to specific programs or to a particular residence. Notification of In Memory gifts will be sent to the family of the deceased and notification of In Honour gifts will be sent to honoured individuals themselves.
