Self-Advocacy Bi-Laws

  1. Elections will be held by secret ballot in January of every second year.
  2. We do not have a membership fee or dues but we will have an honour system. All members are asked to bring their pennies and loose change to the meetings to put in a collection jar. This money will go towards the expenses of our group.
  3. All meetings will be recorded at every meeting and will be read out loud at the following meeting. All meeting minutes must be approved by the members.
  4. No swearing. The chair can and will ask members to leave meetings for swearing.
  5. No interrupting. We will raise our hands when we want to speak and must be recognized by the chair. All members are asked to remember that all ideas are good ideas; we need to listen and let others speak.
  6. Bi-laws are subject to change, be amended, deleted or new ones can be added as long as all of the members vote in agreement to do so.
