My name is Liz. I have been working at Canadian Tire in Espanola for almost 12 years. I work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and then I am off Friday. I go back to work on Saturdays at 8:00 in the morning until 10:30 or 11:00 and then I am off again on Sunday. Louise, Yvonne, Joyce and Kelly at Community Living Espanola helped me get my job and before that, my good friend Phil worked there.

My job is to clean the upstairs bathroom, the lunchroom and I wash the floors in the office and empty all the garbages. The people at Canadian Tire are always nice to me and just before Christmas they let me work on the cash with some help from another worker. This was a dream come true for me!

I like getting a paycheque because I get to do special things with the money. In 2010, I went to my niece’s wedding in Jamaica and I had a great time!

I really like working at Canadian Tire and I feel special because some of my friends can’t get a job like this.
