Hi, my name is Peter. This summer at the end of August I got to go on a special trip. My friends Paul and Michael came with me. We stayed at a really fancy resort in the Horseshoe Valley area called The Carriage House Resort.

It was a very long trip, especially since my workers Laurie and Lori tried to follow a trip plan they got on Google Maps. It took us to the wrong place and we spent a lot of time back-tracking through farm country. We had lots of fun laughing about it and the scenery was very nice. The resort we stayed at was very fancy and had a fireplace in the living room.

After we checked into our rooms, we drove to the Cookstown Outlet Mall. I got to buy some really nice shirts and a couple of movies. We picked up treats and ate them while watching t.v. in our rooms afterwards.

The next morning we got up and drop to the Vaughn Mall. We spent all morning shopping. I got to buy new CD’s and got a really nice Elvis and Johnny Cash t-shirt. We took pictures in front of the Bass Pro Shop in front of the big stuffed bears and watched the fish swimming at the store’s entrance. There was also a guide dog show going on and we got to pet and meet a really nice guide dog and the boy he works with.

We had lunch at the big food court and then drove back to Barrie and went to the Elmvale Zoo. WE saw lots of animals, including tigers, lions, monkeys, zebras and even a pot-bellied pig. I bought myself a nice red shirt with a lion on it in the gift shop before we started the long drive back home. The zoo was okay but I think I liked the shopping better.

We listened to all of our new music CD’s in the van and then the radio when we ran out of CD’s. It was lots of fun, even though Lori and Laurie cranked up some crazy Lady Gaga song that I don’t like. We had lots of fun and lots of laughs and I am already asking Laurie if she will take me back on a trip to shop again next summer.
